What is the Elaine Brennan Skin Renewal Peeling System?

The System consists of a peeling formulation that has been carefully researched and developed. It is based on Resorcinol compounded in special non-penetrating base ingredients. Layers of dead skin cells are exfoliated in a safe and controlled way and are replaced with skin that is more supple, elastic, and firm. It smooths texture and stabilizes moisture balance.

How does the Elaine Brennan Skin Renewal Peeling System differ from other peels? 

The special characteristics of the exfoliation technique are that living cells are not effected. Only dead cell layers are detached from the skin which remains absolutely intact. The Elaine Brennan Skin Renewal Peelings are performed lightly and progressively to produce much better cosmetic results than more aggressive peels. 

Can the Elaine Brennan Skin Renewal Peeling System damage my skin?

 No. The peelings are safe and controlled with no nasty surprises in store for you. Any risks are removed by using special base ingredients which have no penetration properties and therefore, cannot carry the peeling process too deeply into the skin.There are no toxic side-effects. 

How many Elaine Brennan Skin Renewal Peelings can be done? There is no limit to the number or peels but usually two to three treatments are recommended depending on the condition of your skin, to achieve the desired result. Each peeling stimulates re-growth. When subjected to stress, the skin fights back by strengthening the elastin and collagen. Experience has shown that when two Elaine Brennan Skin Renewal Peelings are performed at 6 week intervals, there is a markedly better result. 

What should I expect during treatment?

The duration of the application is approximately two hours for each peel. 2.5 hours will be alloted for each day for application & removal. There is a mild stinging sensation for a few minutes, which is minimized with the use of a small electric fan. 

How will I look during the peeling process?

Because of the nature of this peel, you WILL NOT WASH FACE OR HAIR for 6 days :)

Days 1-2 your skin has a little redness and begins to get very tight. Day 3, the skin takes on a brownish tinge giving way to what looks like an awful sunburn by  Day 4. This is where a lot of pigment comes to surface. Rest assured your peel is restoring your skin, not damaging it at all! By the end of Day 4 and into Day 5, this skin will peel a lot. Days 7-10  is peel off day to remove any pesky skin remaining. THIS DAY WILL VARY FOR EVERYONE. I will evaluate your skin with photos you take for me daily to determine your peel off appointment. Please note that some skin around eyes, hairline, & neck may take an additional few days. 

Can the Elaine Brennan Skin Renewal Peeling System be used on other parts of the body? 

Yes. Although it is most often applied to the face and neck, it can be very successfully used on other selected areas such as the back, chest, hands and arms.

What should I expect after peel off? 

This is a pretty intense peel & results vary from person-to- person. Peel off day is just the beginning of the corrective changes this skin will go through for months to follow.  With proper home care, the EB peel will continue to show improvements in the skin up to 9 months after your peel. A second peel may be performed 6-8 weeks after the first peel application.
